The Office of the Registrar is pleased to provide all VinUniversity students with detailed information regarding the class schedule release and course registration process for the Spring 2026 semester. This is a critical period for students to plan their academic pathways and ensure timely progress toward graduation.
Please carefully review the important dates, notes, and useful links below.
1. Spring 2026 Class Schedule Release (December 15–17, 2025)
The Spring 2026 class schedule will be officially published on the SIS system between December 15 and December 17, 2025.
During this period, students are encouraged to:
- Review detailed course timetables
- Check available sections for each course
- Prepare a preliminary course list prior to registration

2. Course Registration Opens (from 2:00PM on December 18, 2025)
The SIS course registration portal will officially open at 2:00PM on December 18, 2025.
Students may:
- Register for courses according to their individual study plans
- Select sections that best fit their schedules
- Complete registration for required and elective courses

3. Add / Transfer Credit / Independent Study Deadline
March 6, 2026 is the final deadline to ADD courses and to complete the following academic requests:
- Adding courses (including those requiring special approval)
- Submitting Transfer Credit requests
- Registering for Independent Study courses
After this date, no additional courses may be added, and late submissions will not be accepted in accordance with University academic regulations.
Students are strongly advised to consult with their Academic Advisor and complete all required approvals well before this deadline.
4. Course Drop Deadline (March 13, 2026)
March 13, 2026 is the final deadline to DROP courses for the Spring 2026 semester.
After this date:
- Course drops will no longer be permitted
Please ensure that any necessary adjustments to your course enrollment are completed by this deadline.
5. Important Note – Course Retake Registration
Students who need to retake a previously failed course are required to submit a Course Retake Registration Form in order for the Office of the Registrar to review and process the request.
Please note:

Course retake requests must be submitted within the official registration period.

Approval is subject to academic regulations, course availability, and prerequisite conditions.

Late submissions may not be considered.

Students are strongly advised to carefully review their academic records and submit the form as early as possible to avoid delays in course enrollment.
6. Important Note for MD Students
For students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, please note the following:
- The Office of the Registrar (REG) will pre-register all required major and professional courses in accordance with the MD curriculum.
- MD students are not required to register for their major courses that have been pre-arranged by REG.
- However, MD students are still responsible for independently registering their VinCore courses via the SIS system, based on their individual study plans 121225_Study Plan_ Spring 2026_ Y1_Cohort 6.xlsx
MD students are advised to carefully review their pre-registered courses and ensure timely registration of all VinCore courses to avoid any delays or issues during the Spring 2026 semester.

8. Recommendations for Students
To ensure a smooth registration process, students are encouraged to:
- Review their Study Plan and curriculum requirements before registration
- Confirm that all course prerequisites have been met
- Prepare a tentative course list in advance
- Monitor official announcements from the Office of the Registrar for updates
