Transfer Credit
Transfer Credits
If you have previously completed courses at other accredited institutions — whether through formal university study, an approved exchange program, or advanced standing exams (such as AP, IB, A-Levels) — you may be eligible to transfer credits toward your VinUni degree.
When to Submit a Transfer Credit Request
- New students: Submit your request during Orientation Week or no later than the last day of the Add period for your first semester.
- Current students: Submit your request during the Add period of the semester in which the equivalent VinUni course would normally be taken.
❗ Note: Transfer credit requests will not be accepted after the Add deadline of the respective semester.
How to Submit a Request
All requests must be sent via email to the Registrar’s Office at [email protected] and include the following:
- A completed Transfer Credit Request Form (Click here to download)
- An official transcript from the external institution
- A course syllabus or outline including topics, assessments, and learning outcomes
- Details of the credit system used (e.g., ECTS, US credit hour)
What Courses Are Eligible for Transfer?

- Was taken at an accredited institution
- Has content equivalent to at least 70% of the VinUni course
- Was completed with a minimum grade of C or equivalent
- Has comparable credit value to a VinUni course
- Has not been used toward another completed degree

Eligibility and equivalency decisions are made by the relevant College based on score thresholds and subject relevance.
