Exams at VinUni
Examinations may take the form of written tests, online quizzes, oral assessments, presentations, or take-home assignments. The format and timing are determined by the instructor and detailed in the course syllabus.
- Exam Schedule: Exam dates are NOT published on SIS. Teaching teams will communicate directly with students about the exam schedule during the semester.
- Academic Integrity: Students must adhere to VinUni’s academic integrity policy during all assessments. Violations may lead to disciplinary actions.

Understanding Your Grades
Grade System
VinUni uses a letter grading system on a 4.0 GPA scale, as shown below:

| A | 4.0 |
| A- | 3.7 |
| B+ | 3.3 |
| B | 3.0 |
| B- | 2.7 |
| C+ | 2.3 |
| C | 2.0 |
| C- | 1.7 |
| D+ | 1.3 |
| D | 1.0 |
| D- | 0.7 |
| F | 0.0 |
Some special grade notations include:
- W – Withdrawn
- I – Incomplete
- T – Transfer credit (not counted in GPA)
- P/F – Pass/Fail (for select courses)
GPA Calculation
Your Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by multiplying each course’s credit value by the grade point value, then dividing the total grade points by the total number of credits attempted (excluding Pass/Fail or Transfer grades).
