Announcement: Undergraduate Graduation Review Timeline for Academic Year 2026

The Office of the Registrar is pleased to announce the official Graduation Review Timeline for Undergraduate Students graduating in 2026, together with key milestones and information regarding the Graduation Review Committees.

This plan has been developed in close consultation with all Colleges and Academic Programs and has received full consensus. The approved timeline aims to ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely graduation processing for all eligible students.

1. Graduation Review Timeline (2026)

2. Graduation Review Committees

The Graduation Review Process is overseen by Graduation Review Boards at both college and university levels, composed of senior academic leaders, program directors, and administrative representatives.

The committees are chaired by the Provost, with participation from the Vice Provost for Academic Administration, Deans and Vice Deans of all Colleges, Program Directors of the Colleges and representatives from the Student Affairs Management and the Office of the Registrar.

3. Graduation Requirements and Eligibility

To be eligible for graduation and the conferral of a bachelor’s degree from VinUniversity, students must satisfy all applicable academic, administrative, and regulatory requirements as prescribed by the University and relevant authorities.

3.1 Graduation Eligibility Criteria

Students will be considered eligible for graduation upon meeting all of the following conditions:

  • Completion of the minimum credit requirements within the prescribed study period of the program.
  • Fulfillment of General Education/VinCore and English language proficiency requirements.
  • Completion of all major-specific course requirements as defined by the respective College and Program.
  • Resolution of any “I – Incomplete” grades in required courses.
  • Achievement of a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00/4.00.
  • No record of criminal offense up to the time of graduation.
  • Compliance with all other applicable University regulations and policies.

Students who do not meet all graduation requirements in their intended graduation cycle must apply for graduation again in the following academic year.

3.2 Graduation Review Process

The graduation process follows a structured annual cycle:

  • Graduation Application: Students submit graduation review applications around April each academic year, following instructions from the Office of the Registrar.
  • Final Semester Planning: Students are advised to prioritize remaining required courses and allocate sufficient time for Capstone Projects or Theses, where applicable.
  • Graduation Review: Graduation eligibility is reviewed at College and University levels, with final decisions typically concluded in August.
  • Degree Conferral: Diplomas and official transcripts are issued after the completion of verification and printing procedures, usually in September.

3.3 Post–Graduation Review Documents

After graduation eligibility is confirmed:

  • Students may request a Graduation Confirmation Letter for purposes such as employment, further study, or visa applications.
  • Following the issuance of the official Graduation Recognition Decision by the Provost, students become eligible to receive a Temporary (Provisional) Graduation Certificate.
  • The official diploma and final transcript will be available approximately one month after the decision.

Students are strongly encouraged to plan ahead if graduation-related documents are required for time-sensitive purposes.

3.4 Classification of Awards

Bachelor’s degrees are classified based on the final cumulative GPA, in accordance with Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) regulations:

4. Official Communication

Upon approval of the Graduation Review Master Plan, the Office of the Registrar will:

  • Issue the official Decisions related to graduation review.
  • Formally communicate the approved plan, timeline, and instructions to all eligible students via official channels.

Students are encouraged to closely follow announcements from the Office of the Registrar and proactively complete all required steps within the specified timelines.
